Seward Schools Site-Based Council

Our first Site Council Meeting for this year is scheduled for this Thursday, September 10th at 6:30pm at the Elementary School Library.  We typically meet on the second Thursday of each month.

Our October meeting will be held Thursday, October 8th at 6:30pm.

• The Seward Site Council is comprised of principals, teachers, staff, parents and students and is an advisory council to the local Principals and the KPBSD Board of Education.

KPBSD 2015/2016 Budget Development

October 15th at 6:00 pm there will be a Budget Development meeting at the Seward High School.  This will be a District wide meeting to discuss the KPBSD Budget.  Where and how should areas of the budget be increased or decreased?

In January of 2015, the Kenai Peninsula Borough School District (KPBSD) will begin Collective Bargaining negotiations with the Kenai Peninsula Education Association (KPEA), and the Kenai Peninsula Education Support Association (KPESA). The process includes items for discussion such as compensation, employee benefits, health care, and work environment that one or both sides want to address for possible revision.

The public is invited to comment about issues that will be addressed in collective bargaining. Please offer your comments with this online comment form, or via email, fax, mail, or in person to the district office.
